After around 15 years without new material, Steely Dan finally release something that's not a compilation, a live album! I remember, I was a wee tike of around 5 at the time, and I remember when my dad brought it home one day, and I liked it a lot. Now, My opinion has changed.

I'm not saying this is a bad album, it isn't, it just doesn’t really strike me as great or fantastic. On the plus side, there are some really good moments on here, like “Josie”, “Peg”, “Third Wold Man”, and “Aja”. This album starts of decent, but gets worse, then redeems itself with a good second side. “Book of Liars” and “Green Earings” are my least favorites here.

Overall, decent, but definitely not as good as Steely Dan in their prime. Sadly, it will be another 6 years before new Steely Dan material is released.

Rating: 6.6/10
