Whether you like this album or not will depend mostly on what about Renaissance you like. It certainly doesn’t have the complicated and long instrumental passages, or bass lines common in early material. It's a generally slower paced, more laid back album than previous ones. But Annie's voice has lost nothing, it’s as good as ever on this album. Tracks like "Dolphin Prayer" and "Eva's Pond" are among her best ballads ever.

If you like Annie's solo material or songs like "Carpet of the Sun" and "Ocean Gypsy", you will probably like this album.
