A dark, but yet highly accessible album, Paranoid became the anthem for youngsters that wanted to play hard, scare their parents and get the girls, although you won't be finding any love songs on this gem.
To many, Paranoid is considered the definitive "heavy metal" album, define everything that the genre represented; lyrics that dealt with doom "War Pigs", madness "Paranoid", idol worship "Iron Man" and hallucination "Faeries Wear Boots" and death "Electric Funeral" help make "Paranoid" amongst the greatest albums ever recorded.
In Black Sabbath's early stages, or the first eight albums (especially the first six) Black Sabbath churned out a plethora of solid gold gems, but it is with Paranoid where Black Sabbath truly made their mark upon the world of music.
