A great find. An excellent soundboard recording of Joy Division's most bootlegged concert, recorded in late 1979, Les Bains Douches 18 December 1979 is a revelation to many Joy Division fans, that paid big money for this concert in its bootlegged form, but here without the warts and other problems vinyl records produce, is Joy Division captured in their prime adding a muscular backdrop to one of post-punk's most charismatic front men, Ian Curtis.

Even to this day, the songs hold well, with the excellent recording sound, unlike the twin to this concert release Preston 28 February 1980.

The last seven songs are from two different BBC concert recordings from Holland in early 1980, which surprisingly are not up to the sound standards of the Paris tracks, but nevertheless just as powerful, tracks like early concert favorites "Digital" and "Autosuggestion" is prime "power-punk" at its zenith.

Les Bains Douches 18 December 1979 is a phenomenal introduction of Joy Division's prowess live and great sampler to the songs that made the band legends of their era.
